Eastern region committee needs some more volunteers. There are a number of posts that we need to fill in the coming year. None of the posts involves a high input of time, just a few hours per month although it may not be spread evenly across the year.
The committee meets four times per year mostly on a Saturday although occasionally a weekday or Sunday is used according to what fits in with members’ availability. The meeting lasts from 10.30 am until about 3.00pm and is currently held at the Peoples Hall in Toft near Cambridge. Lunch is provided. Members are not expected to be out of pocket as a result of offering their time to this work and Making Music pays travelling expenses, and a small sum for printing, postage and phone calls. |

Extensive knowledge of the work of Making Music is not needed as training can be provided and the best way to learn is to take part. If you feel that you could join us please contact Marian Davidson for an informal discussion.
We would also be interested to hear from anyone who, while not wanting to take on a committee role, could volunteer to help as an administrator or project manager for a number of 3 projects we are planning in the next year or so. Typically this would require a commitment of 6 months to a year.
The Making Music regional committee has a major role in determining strategy for the future of the organisation within the region. It advises the national organisation and works collaboratively with the paid Development Officer to support member groups, provide advice and development opportunities and run funded projects to provide practical support to members.
It is very worthwhile to be a member of this committee and the jobs are interesting which probably why the existing members have particpated for such a long time. We know that as representatives of your organisation you will already be very busy but please consider whether you or other members of your group could extend your view of music making to encompass the region, and volunteer to join us.
